FAQ

light bulbQuestions tutors ask us.

speech balloonPayments, cancellations, your data and everything else worth knowing before you move your teaching across.

How do I get paid?

Students pay you directly. You connect your own Stripe account during setup, and lesson payments go straight into it on Stripe's normal payout schedule. Zilentino never holds, receives or controls money paid for lessons, and takes no commission — the only deduction is Stripe's own card processing fee.

Does it work with Zoom or Google Meet?

Google Meet. Connect your Google Calendar and every confirmed lesson gets a calendar event with a Meet link generated automatically, sent to you and your student. Zoom links are not generated for you today.

What happens when a student cancels?

You set your own notice window in your settings — between 4 and 36 hours, 12 by default. Cancel before that window (or if you cancel the lesson yourself) and the lesson goes back to the student's credit balance to be rebooked. Cancel inside the window, or no-show, and the lesson is forfeited. Because the money went to your Stripe account, any actual refund stays your decision.

Do I need a card to start?

Yes. Your card is authorised when you start the trial, but nothing is charged for the first 5 days. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing at all.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep full access until the period you have already paid for ends. The current period is not refunded and partial periods are not pro-rated. Cancel during the 5-day trial and you are never charged.

How do I move my existing students across?

There is nothing to import. Send your booking link to the students you already teach and they use it from their next lesson — they pick a slot and pay there instead of messaging you. You can keep running old bookings the old way until they run out.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU. Our database is hosted on Supabase in Frankfurt (eu-central-1) and encrypted at rest. You can export or delete your data at any time under GDPR, and disconnecting Google Calendar immediately deletes the stored connection and the cached event data.

rocketStill wondering about something?

These are the questions independent tutors actually ask us before they start. If yours isn’t here, the fastest way to find out is to try it - the trial answers most of them in an afternoon.
